What’s up!

I’m looking for a little advice.

Lately, I’ve been feeling the itch to get into fly tying, and my father-in-law just added fuel to the fire—he found a fly tying vice at a thrift store and gave it to me. It seems to be in pretty good shape… and even still had a fly on it from the previous owner 😂.

I haven’t tied a fly since earning the scouting merit badge back when I was 15 😂—so, basically I have no experience. That said, I follow some incredible fly tyers on Instagram who make it look effortless.

If you’re experienced in the art of fly tying and had to start from scratch today, where would you begin? What basic supplies would you pick up first? Hit reply and let me know—I’d love to hear your advice!
