#5 - The Trout Goods Report - May 7th

Caddis hatches, Star Wars nets, DIY Projects, and trout.

What’s up y’all!

Another week has flown by. I didn’t make it out on the water this past week, but I’m hoping to change that this weekend for one of my favorites, the Mother’s Day Caddis hatch! Fingers crossed I don’t get skunked 😂. Either way, I’ll report back with some pics in next week’s update.

In the meantime, we’ve got some killer content from those who did get out. Let’s dive in!

These aren’t just nets, they’re stories carved in wood. At Wayward Trading Post, Tina Lewis handcrafts custom fly fishing nets with jaw-dropping epoxy inlays that blend art and utility. Built in Pennsylvania and made to fish hard, each net is a functional masterpiece born from passion, precision, and a serious love for the craft.

This week we teamed up on Instagram (posted above) to auction off a hand-crafted Star Wars collectible net in celebration of May the 4th. The auction ends today (5/7) at 6 PM Eastern Time. Check it out and place your bid to make it yours!
